Ashley Darby Officially Files for Divorce from Michael Darby

The Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is officially moving forward with her divorce from her estranged husband Michael Darby. Court records confirm that Ashley has filed to legally dissolve their marriage, more than two years after their separation.

Michael told TMZ exclusively, that the two have already arrived at “an amicable and fair settlement.” The settlement agreement has been filed with the court and takes into consideration the terms of their prenuptial agreement and a joint custody arrangement of their two sons, Dean and Dylan.

For years, RHOP fans have been following the highs and lows of Ashley and Michael’s marriage. From their 2014 wedding to years of scandal, their relationship was often a very hot topic on the show. Some of the most explosive included allegations of Michael’s infidelity and sexual misconduct, including one incident very publicly discussed wherein he allegedly inappropriately touched a crew member incident that was caught on camera. Though the charges were later dismissed, it left a lasting mark. Ashley declared the separation of the couple in April 2022 after almost eight years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, she declared, “We are in two different stages of life, and our romantic bond has broken. However, we will always love and respect each other, and true happiness can only be achieved by putting our hearts and souls into raising our two beautiful boys.

Despite her separation announcement, Ashley’s reluctance to file for divorce became a recurring storyline on RHOP. Viewers speculated on her motivations, with some suggesting she might be holding out for better financial terms. However, Ashley consistently reiterated her focus on ensuring the best outcome for her children.

Since their split, Ashley has given very slight hints about diving back into the dating world, but she hasn’t come out with a public confirmation of her new relationship status. Instead, she has remained focused on Dean and Dylan’s co-parenting and creating stability within her family.
