Beyoncé Protects Her Music, Warns Trump Campaign Over Unauthorized Use of “Freedom”

Beyoncé has always been fiercely protective of her music, and her latest move proves just that. The Grammy-winning superstar recently granted Vice President Kamala Harris permission to use her 2016 hit “Freedom” as an unofficial campaign anthem. Harris has embraced the song, using it in multiple ads and at rallies, all with Beyoncé’s full blessing.

However, in a surprising and controversial twist, former President Donald Trump’s campaign team has attempted to co-opt the song for their own purposes. Just yesterday, Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, posted a video of Trump disembarking from his plane, set to the tune of “Freedom.” The choice was seen by many as an overt attempt to taunt Harris, given the song’s strong association with her campaign.

The move has sparked confusion and criticism, with many questioning the rationale behind the decision. Despite the backlash, Cheung has doubled down, leaving the video up on social media platforms.

But Beyoncé isn’t letting this slide. According to sources at Rolling Stone, the singer has issued a cease-and-desist warning to Trump and his campaign, demanding that they stop using her song without permission. While it remains to be seen whether the video will be taken down, one thing is clear: Beyoncé and her legal team are prepared to take action if their warning goes unheeded.

With the situation still unfolding, all eyes are now on Trump’s team to see how they will respond to the Queen Bey’s ultimatum. One thing is certain—Beyoncé isn’t backing down when it comes to protecting her music.
