Lil Nas X smash hit country song was taken off the Billboard Country chart at the end of March. Rolling Stone reported that Billboard had quietly removed “Old Town Road” from the Hot Country chart and “informed Lil Nas X’s label, Columbia Records, that his inclusion on the ranking was a mistake.” Billboard told Rolling Stone, “While ‘Old Town Road’ incorporates references to country and cowboy imagery, it does not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version.
So this week the legendary Billy Ray Cyrus wasn’t for Billboard decision to take Lil Nas X song off the country charts. So he decided to make it more country by hopping on the remix of “Old Town Road.” Which is currently the hottest trending video on YouTube and it has surpassed a million views in less than 24 hours.
