‘Black Panther’ Was Released Four Years Ago

Four years ago today, ‘Black Panther’ was released in theaters. The film, starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan & Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, among others grossed over $1.347 billion at the box office.

Black Panther not only created history at Box-Office, it also created history at Oscars. It won 3 Academy Awards for Best Original score, Best production design and Best costume design. Highest ever wins for any Superhero movie at Oscars till date.

The cultural impact of this movie was monumental; there was no standalone superhero movie that could match their benchmarks set during this time. The transcending film still remains the highest rated film for Marvel on Rotten Tomatoes.
