Camrus Johnson, who currently stars “Luke Fox” aka “Batwing” in the CW series BATWOMAN, recently won an award at a film festival for his animated short film.
SHE DREAMS AT SUNRISE, recently won its first award for best animated short film at the 38 annual Chicago International Children’s Film Festival. The film follows an elderly woman who escapes her mundane reality through her dreams while her great-nephew helps reconnect her to what she’s really missing. Candice Patton and Azie Tesfai star in Camrus Johnson’s animated short film.

Johnson past television credits include Hulu’s “There’s Johnny,” the Netflix original series“Luke Cage” and “The OA.” Johnson wrote, directed, and stars in the upcoming short film “Blue Bison” opposite Chloe Levine.
In addition to acting and singing, Johnson is currently developing a comic book with Joseph Illidge, the first African American to edit the Batman Comics and Valiant Comics Executive Editor, and Christopher “ChrisCross” Williams, veteran comic book and graphic novel illustrator with credits ranging from Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse.
