Candice Patton is staying on board for ‘The Flash’ season 9, according to TV Line. She portrays one of the DC universe’s iconic journalists Iris West-Allen.
The leading lady of ‘The Flash’ has been with the longest Arrowverse series since the beginning. Patton, Grant Gustin, and Danielle Panabaker remain the only original season regulars heading into season 9. Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh stepped down last year. Jesse L. Martin reportedly stepped down as a series regular on April 13th.
‘The Flash’ still averages over 1.04 million total viewers an episode, which ranks at number 4 out of The CW Network’s 19 dramas that aired this year.
