Candice Patton Will Be Free From ‘The Flash’ After Season 9

The ‘Flash’ incredible nine-year run will conclude with a 13-episode final season in 2023. Marking the end of the CW’s Arrowverse.

The original cast members, Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, and Danielle Panabaker will return for the final season. Jesse L. Martin reportedly committed to appear in at least five episodes for season 9.

With this being the last season, don’t be surprised to see Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes return before the series finale.

The announcement may be sad for many. Candice Patton will be free of the mistreatment and lack of protection from CW. ‘The Flash’ star opened up about her experiences on The Open Up Podcast.

Patton portrays Iris West-Allen in ‘The Flash series. She has paved the way for all black women were cast as superheroes for The CW network these last couple of years. Patton’s Iris West legacy is forever set and stone.
