Congresswoman Jayapal, AOC and More Introduce Roadmap to Freedom Resolution

Representatives Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04), Veronica Escobar (TX-16), Judy Chu (CA-27), Yvette Clarke (NY-09), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) will join FIRM Action leaders Roxana Norouzi and Lawrence Benito in introducing the Roadmap to Freedom Resolution. The Resolution is a progressive vision to transform the immigration system into one that is focused on dignity and rooted in the needs and lives of impacted people. It’s a visionary policy platform that embodies affirmative values by which FIRM Action will measure any immigration proposal in this new Congress.

We had the opportunity to ask Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on how she will convince her colleagues in congress to get on board with Roadmap to Freedom Resolution:

With a new administration in office and overwhelming support from voters, it’s time to transform the outdated immigration system.
