Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul facing serious charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution-related offenses, is reportedly refusing meals at New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) amid concerns about his safety.
Larry Levine, a prison consultant and former inmate, raised this alarming possibility on a recent episode of DailyMail.com’s podcast The Trial of Diddy. Levine suggested that Diddy, 55, may be avoiding the prison’s meals out of paranoia that they could be poisoned.
“People want to kill him,” Levine explained. “What if someone on the outside has a connection inside the prison? They could contaminate his food, poisoning him over time.”
Diddy’s recent court appearances have fueled speculation about his well-being. Observers noted that he appeared “astonishingly thinner” and “grayer” after three months behind bars. Reports also claim the star has been turning down meals at MDC, a facility notorious for violence and inmate deaths.
However, a source close to Diddy told Page Six that he remains “fit, healthy, and fully focused on his defense.” Despite his gaunt appearance, the source insisted the music icon is staying active and in good spirits.
For now, it seems Diddy might be relying on commissary snacks like honey buns and chips to get by. MDC, which houses high-profile inmates, has faced widespread criticism for its dangerous conditions, making Diddy’s alleged fears far from unfounded.
