DJ Mustard Sues Ex-Wife Chanel Thierry for Defamation in Court Docs

The famous producer of chart-topping hits, DJ Mustard, is in the news again, but this time, it is not for his music-it is due to a legal fight with his ex-wife, Chanel Thierry. This music mogul is accusing Thierry of defaming him online and going against their agreement during the divorce based on a series of recent social media posts that he claims have damaged his reputation and personal life.

According to the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Mustard, whose real name is Dijon McFarlane, is taking action against Thierry after she made public accusations, including one in which she misrepresented that she was paid $275,000 in child support arrears. However, Mustard argues that money represented part of the divorce settlement to equalize the luxury cars he kept, not for any child support arrears.

Aside from the financial issue, Mustard is also accusing Thierry of airing his private medical information in public. She allegedly posted on social media that he did not have cancer, which not only damages him but also amounts to a gross violation of privacy. Mustard has always been open about health problems in the past, and this public statement goes way beyond the limits of personal conflict into harmful dimensions.

Things got even worse when, according to reports, Thierry referred to Mustard as a “Gemini Narc” in her posts, a term playing off both his astrological sign-Gemini-and a pejorative used to describe narcissistic behavior. The producer thinks such posts have caused serious damage to his reputation and the well-being of their three children.

Although Chanel Thierry has since deleted the posts, DJ Mustard still insists that the damage is done. He has now pressed the matter with court interest. According to his court filing, he wants her to retract the falsely defamatory statements; aside from this, he also wants the judge to grant punitive measures against her for breaching the terms of their divorce deal, which forbids such public disparagement.

But at the root of all this legal fighting is not only the finances involved or the personal properties of their divorce but also what all these public fights are creating for their children. That is why Mustard says these antics by Thierry affect their three kids, who are now subjected to their parents’ ongoing drama in the public eye.

Chanel Thierry’s lawyers have yet to comment officially as of this post. The lawsuit remains pending, and DJ Mustard is still hoping the case gets resolved quickly with not only a public retraction but also some legal ramifications attached to the alleged defamation by Thierry.
