Do People Want ESPN To Fire Malika Andrews To Bring Back Rachel Nichols?

People are calling for Malika Andrews’ job at ESPN after many people on Twitter are accusing her of having a problem with black men.

Andrews appeared on ESPN First Take last week to speak about the Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka. Things went left on the segment when Malika Andrews and Stephen A. Smith got into a heated argument about the topic.

This segment was intense but wasn’t the start of the Malika Andrews backlash. The ESPN reporter got a lot of heat on social media for bringing up Boston Celtics’ interim head coach Joe Mazzulla’s arrest record from 13 years ago.

Mazzulla was charged with domestic battery for allegedly grabbing a woman by the neck at a bar while attending West Virginia University.

He addressed the media on Monday about being charged for domestic battery, Mazzulla says, “I’ve made mistakes. I’m not perfect. I’ve hurt people, and I’ve had to use the situations I’ve put myself in as a younger man to become a better person.”

After a hectic last week, people spent time digging up Malika Andrews’ takes on black men over the weekend. Andrews spoke about former NBA player Adreian Payne being shot dead in Orlando, Florida on NBA Today. In the same segment, she brought up Payne being waived by the Orlando Magic after sexual assault allegations against him from his time at Michigan State were made public.

People thought this was cruel by Malika Andrews because there were no charges filed against Payne and he could possibly be remembered for being an alleged rapist.

Malika Andrews and Matt Barnes got in a heated argument about Kobe Bryant on ESPN’s NBA Today.

Though people didn’t like her take, it’s a opinion that she had on the Lakers legend that wasn’t malicious. She just prefers LeBron over Kobe it seems like in her take.

Now after all of the love Malika Andrews recieved when she first replaced Rachel Nichols has faded away. It got so bad that people want Rachel Nichols back.

Nichols and ESPN parted ways with each other after private comments she made about Maria Taylor went public. She insinuated that Maria Taylor was a diversity hire by the network.
