Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are going to have to hand over a huge check after a jury has decided that they owe one of their former business partners in unpaid royalties.

According to TMZ, court documents revealed that an L.A. jury has awarded Steven Lamar a total of $25,247,350 after the Beats co-founders failed to pay him for the design work on 3 models of Beats headphones.

The jury decided that Lamar was owed royalties for the designs of the Studio 2 Remastered, the Studio 2 Wireless and the Studio 3.

Dr. Dre and Iovine argued that Lamar was only owed royalties from the first model. However, in the end, the jury decided that Lamar fulfilled his end of the deal.

Earlier this month we reported that, the three of them had a falling out which led to Dre and Iovine suing him for breech of contract. Lamar relinquished his rights in exchange for a four percent royalty on every headphone sold by Monster and its affiliates.
