Pop sensation Dua Lipa has reportedly called it quits with filmmaker Romain Gavras after an eight-month romance that began with their first public appearance at Paris Fashion Week in March 2023. A representative for Lipa confirmed the split, emphasizing the singer’s intense focus on her flourishing music career as the primary reason behind the decision.
The Sun reported insights from an insider who revealed, “Dua and Romain have decided to part ways after a whirlwind summer romance. She’s laser-focused on her career right now and wanted to end things before they turned messy.” The source also hinted at Gavras’s perspective, stating, “Romain felt like Dua was always working, but she’s not about to slow down for anyone or anything.”
Despite the breakup, Lipa is channeling her energy into her highly anticipated third studio album. The singer expressed excitement about the deeply personal record, exploring themes of dating, singledom, and the intricate dynamics of relationships. “It’s more about the various emotions and feelings you experience while being single,” Lipa explained. She highlighted the album’s journey from embracing singledom to navigating the early stages of a new relationship, providing a glimpse into her evolving perspective on love and self-discovery. Lipa’s previous high-profile relationship was with model Anwar Hadid.
