Three years after Brock Turner’s conviction for raping an unconscious woman made national news, victim Chanel Miller is coming forward with her name to tell her story in an upcoming memoir.

“It is one of the most important books”… because of its potential to “change the culture that we live in and the assumptions we make about what survivors should be expected to go through to get justice.”

“The cover art…is inspired by the Japanese art… of kintsugi… in which broken pottery pieces are mended using lacquer and powdered gold. It’s a process that makes a new, beautiful object out of what’s been broken, emphasizing where it has cracked”

Know My Name will transform the way we think about sexual assault, challenging our beliefs about what is acceptable and speaking truth to the tumultuous reality of healing.
