Hulu has released first-look pictures of the new drama series “The Testaments”. The series stars several actors. They include Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Isolde Ardies, and Shechinah Mpumlwana.
“The Testaments” will debut in April 2026 on Hulu in the US for customers with a bundle subscription, as well as on Disney+ in other parts of the world.
The series is based on Margaret Atwood’s Booker Prize-winning novel “The Testaments” in 2019. The story takes place after the events of “The Handmaid’s Tale” in a new generation of young women growing up in the theocratic nation of Gilead. They have known no life but Gilead. They live in fear of the possibilities of arranged marriages and of harsh servitude. They also have to look for a way to gain their freedom.
Bruce Miller serves as the showrunner for the television version. The executive producers include Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Steve Stark, Shana Stein, Maya Goldsmith, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, and Mike Barker, who will also direct the show for the first three episodes. MGM Television produces the Hulu series.
Other actors in the series include Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, and Kira Guloien, in addition to the previously mentioned actors.
