Footage Shows Columbus Police Officer Ricky Anderson Killing Donovan Lewis While Serving A Search Warrant

Donovan Lewis is dead after being shot by an officer serving an arrest warrant.

Body camera footage released by Columbus police Tuesday shows an officer fatally shooting the 20-year-old, who was sitting in bed and may have had a vape pen next to him as officers tried to arrest him.

The officer who shot Donovan Lewis in the body camera footage was Ricky Anderson. He has been an officer for over 30 years. Anderson was placed on leave pending an investigation of the shooting.
