A video of a former University of Kentucky swimmer getting swarmed by trans activists after she spoke out against trans women competing in women’s sports is making its rounds on social media.
Riley Gaines, who competed for the University of Kentucky for four years, has been doing speaking engagements all over America about her experience competing against Lia Thomas, a transwoman who won NCAA Division I national championship in the women’s 500-yard freestyle event last year.
San Francisco State University trans activist wasn’t here for the speaking engagement on Thursday. The local police and campus security guards had to hide Gaines in a classroom from getting swarmed by the activist.
We strongly condemn the violence perpetrated against @iwf spokeswoman @Riley_Gaines_ on @SFSU campus. Riley was violently accosted, ambushed, and physically assaulted during a speech on sex discrimination women face in their own single-sex sports category. pic.twitter.com/uhND8UY2jX
