Winner of the first America’s Next Top Model show, Adrianne Curry, called out Victoria’s Secret for choosing Kylie Jenner to wear its $50 million Fantasy Bra, saying the honor belonged to the brand’s top model, not a reality TV celebrity.
At 29, Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut Sunday night in the diamond-covered bra during the fashion show at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA.

“Nothing against Kylie Jenner. You’re not a fucking model. You don’t have a model’s body,” Curry stated.
“I don’t know why they put her in the mega bra. That’s for the belle of the ball. That is for the top Victoria’s Secret Angel,” she continued. “That is like winning homecoming queen, and they just give it to Jenner.”
The bra, created with New York jeweler Jacob & Co, features 4,410 natural diamonds and no fabric. Its central element is a fancy vivid yellow diamond weighing 75.54 carats. On its own, it is worth $22 million, the jeweler says.
It took 1,5 artisans more than 1,000 hours to assemble the item, which weighs less than four pounds. That makes it the most expensive Fantasy Bra ever commissioned by Victoria’s Secret and easily beats the $15 million Gisele Bündchen bra worn back in 2000.
The bra also represented the return of the Fantasy Bra after eight years. In 2018, Elsa Hosk modeled the last Fantasy Bra, which was a $1 million bra decorated with Swarovski crystals. The show was the brand’s last annual production, and it didn’t return until 2024.
Jenner wore the bra together with a sheer white mini skirt, transparent heels, and feathered white wings as her mother, Kris Jenner, and Timothée Chalamet attended the event from the front rows.
Victoria’s Secret chief creative officer Adam Selman told Vogue that Jenner represents more than the fashion world or television. He added that the brand sought to feature its showpiece with “an unlikely name with a massive following and a massive cultural impact.”
Jenner is the first person from outside of the Angels’ roster to wear the Fantasy Bra. Her older sister Kendall Jenner participated in the show in 2015, 2016, and 2018.
According to Curry, Victoria’s Secret has lost its prestige.
“Victoria’s Secret is a joke. In 2010, I would say Victoria’s Secret meant something. Now it’s meaningless,” she said.
Curry also slammed the company’s efforts to be more inclusive. Victoria’s Secret stopped runway shows and retired Angels in 2019 and introduced VS Collective in 2021, an ambassadors group meant to reflect diverse women, including athletes and activists.
“I could literally pull up missing an arm and a leg, and they’d be like, ‘Oh my God, yes, she’s perfect.’ How did I qualify? ‘You’re missing limbs.’ Oh, so virtuous. There’s no skill,” she said.
Curry took up Adriana Lima, the Brazilian supermodel and Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2000 until 2018, who modeled the Fantasy Bra several times, including sharing it with Alessandra Ambrosio in 2014.
“They won’t take a chance on new models that they discovered walking in Brazil. That’s how they discovered Adriana Lima. She wasn’t a big influencer. No one knew her. She wasn’t missing a leg. She was perfect,” Curry said.
“So f*ck them,” she added because “Victoria’s Secret used to make megastars, not rely on virtue signaling and other people’s fame to make it.”
According to Curry, Victoria’s Secret now has to rely on old models because it does not produce any new.
“Now they have to rely on elderly Victoria’s Secret models because they continuously don’t make new Victoria’s Secret models because they’re clapping Kylie Jenner up there,” she stated.
As her conclusion to the statement, Curry joked about her husband, voice actor Matthew Rhode: “What did my husband say about what? Me being on my period? Holy f*ck, go away.”

Curry is definitely not alone. On social media, some fans complained that the Fantasy Bra should have gone to veteran Angel, who earned it through years of runway participation.
As someone who is following Victoria Secret runways since years, I think Kylie Jenner getting to wear Fantasy on her debut was extremely insulting to the angels waiting years for it. She isnt even a model man come on.

Others supported the brand’s decision. Maison Charly founder Audrey Charly told The Mirror US that the first Angels were the celebrities of the time, and that “Kylie is the celebrity of this one.”
Kim Appelt, celebrity stylist, added that the bra was like Olympic gold for Angels, and the reactions reflect the modern situation: celebrities become models, not vice versa.
Curry won the first cycle of America’s Next Top Model in 2003 and worked with her first husband, actor Christopher Knight, on the VH1 reality series My Fair Brady. She later left Hollywood and now lives in Montana with her husband, Rhode.
As for Kylie Jenner, she seemed genuinely thrilled about the honor, as shown in her posts on X. She said it was her best day ever.
