Grab your popcorn because the Snow White saga just keeps getting messier. While the internet has been in shambles over Disney’s live-action remake, Gal Gadot—aka the Evil Queen herself—is reportedly rolling her eyes at the entire situation.
According to People Magazine, the Wonder Woman star is officially done with the drama and has no interest in entertaining it. A source spilled the tea, saying, “She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel [Zegler], but they are not friends. They have nothing in common… They did a job together, and that’s it.”
Oof. Cold. But also, kind of iconic.
The source added that Gadot and Zegler have a “huge age gap and very different political views,” which is PR-friendly code for “they will not be hanging out anytime soon.”
Let’s break down why this Snow White remake has been a magnet for chaos and why Gadot is absolutely not here for it.
The Snow White Remake is a Drama Magnet
If Disney wanted this film to be a lighthearted fairy tale, they should have thought twice before casting two women who live in completely different universes. From the moment Snow White was announced, the internet has been in a chokehold over every single decision.
Rachel Zegler did not exactly help matters when she made some very confident statements about the original 1937 animated classic. She called it “weird” that Snow White’s main storyline revolved around romance, declared that the prince was basically irrelevant, and made it very clear that this was going to be a very different Snow White than the one people grew up with.
Cue the backlash.
Fans, purists, and people who just enjoy being mad on the internet lost their minds, calling Zegler “ungrateful” and accusing her of insulting Disney’s legacy. The whole thing spiraled into a social media disaster, complete with endless discourse about “woke” remakes, bad PR, and whether or not Hollywood even likes the stories they are adapting.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot has been over here just trying to live her best life.
Gal Gadot is Unbothered, Moisturized, and Thriving
If you have been wondering why Gadot has not been out here making grand statements about Snow White, the answer is simple. She does not care.
The source made it crystal clear that Gadot enjoyed playing the Evil Queen, but she is not about to start a book club with Zegler. They did their jobs, filmed their scenes, and went their separate ways. That is Hollywood, baby.
And honestly, can you blame her? Gadot is a huge star with a schedule packed with action movies, brand deals, and being a general goddess. While the internet fights over whether or not Snow White should have a prince, she is probably sipping a $15 green juice and booking her next blockbuster.
Disney’s Live-Action Curse Continues
At this point, Snow White is just the latest victim of Disney’s live-action curse.
For the past decade, Disney has been on a relentless mission to remake every animated film ever created. While some (The Lion King, Aladdin) made bank, others (The Little Mermaid, Mulan) were buried under controversy.
With Snow White, Disney seemed to be hoping for a modern, feminist reimagining. Instead, they got a PR dumpster fire, complete with angry fans, awkward interviews, and even Peter Dinklage calling out the studio’s questionable decisions about the seven dwarfs.
Now, it is clear that even the stars of the movie are just trying to distance themselves from the chaos.
Will Snow White Even Survive This Mess?
The biggest question is whether Snow White can actually recover from all this drama before it hits theaters in 2025.
Disney is no stranger to bad press, but the sheer amount of controversy surrounding this movie is on another level. Fans are already divided, social media is a war zone, and now we know that even the actors are feeling disconnected from it all.
As for Gal Gadot? She will be just fine. With Heart of Stone 2 rumored to be on the way and a possible third Wonder Woman film, she has plenty to keep her busy.
Meanwhile, Disney has a year to clean up this mess before Snow White drops. Whether they succeed or not, one thing is for sure. Gal Gadot will not be losing sleep over it.
