Halle Berry has signed on to star alongside Josh Gad in ‘Indepence Day’ and ‘2012’ director Roland Emmerich’s ‘Moonfall’, a sci-fi thriller that revolves around a group of people trying to prevent the moon from colliding with Earth.
The story centers on a mysterious force knocking the moon from its orbit around Earth, which sends it hurtling on a collision course with Earth. A ragtag team launches an impossible last-ditch mission into space to land on the lunar surface and save us from annihilation.
Berry will play a NASA astronaut-turned-administrator, whose previous space mission holds a clue about an impending catastrophe. Gad will portray a scientific genius.
