The much-anticipated Max Original stand-up comedy special “HANNAH EINBINDER: EVERYTHING MUST GO” is set to debut on Thursday, June 13. Filmed at the historic El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, this special marks the first solo stand-up performance by actress and comedian Hannah Einbinder, known for her role in the Emmy®-winning series “Hacks.”
In “EVERYTHING MUST GO,” Einbinder showcases her unique comedic style, holding the audience’s attention with a captivating mix of character work and personal anecdotes. Among the memorable characters she brings to life on stage are the sun, moon, and earth. She also shares hilarious and formative stories from her life, including her parents’ elaborate attempts to have a son, her own struggles with meditation, and a profound experience at her grandmother’s funeral.
Einbinder delves into a variety of themes throughout her set, addressing her queer identity, her Jewish faith, climate change, and her experiences as a stoner. Her witty and unpredictable performance promises a fresh and engaging hour of comedy.
Hannah Einbinder has gained significant recognition for her role in “Hacks,” which was recently renewed for a fourth season. Her portrayal in the show has earned her numerous accolades, including two Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Einbinder has established herself as a formidable stand-up comedian, performing at various venues and festivals nationwide. She made her late-night stand-up debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in 2019 and was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” in 2021.
The special is performed, written, and executive produced by Einbinder, with direction and executive production by Sandy Honig.
