Many people on social media claimed two female students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Information and Foreign Languages (HUFLIT) got gang-raped by twelve people in the Vietnamese army. The alleged incident took place in training at Military School zone 7.
There is a video circulating on social media of multiple people screaming inside a building at Ho Chi Minh City University. Some people on social media are claiming one of the girls involved in the alleged incident took her own life.
In one of the videos that are circulating on Twitter, it appears that a person got carried out of the school by multiple people. From the view of the video, we can’t confirm if it’s an actual person or if it’s a person that’s deceased.

The university and a military school in Vietnam have dismissed these claims of sexual assaults and suicides involving female students in compulsory training.
The military school’s Center for National Defense and Security Training issued a statement claiming that two female students had personal disputes and one of them had an emotional breakdown, which explains the screams in the video above.
VnExpress International reveals the center told them that “due to their inability to regulate their emotions, one student exhibited screaming and wailing. The incident has been resolved by management employees, without any consequence.”
A representative from the school said the information online was “severely untrue,” adding that law enforcement authorities have been asked to investigate and deal with whoever was responsible for spreading the news.
