Ilhan Omar Shreds Donald Trump After He Disrespected Her Birthplace

Donald Trump verbally attacked Rep. Ilhan Omar during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday insinuating that she should stop “telling us how to run our country.”

“We’re going to win the state of Minnesota because of her, they say. She’s telling us how to run our country. How did you do where you came from? How’s your country doing?” the president said, bringing attention to the Minnesota Democrat’s Somali origins.

Omar had time last night to shred Donald Trump on Twitter. “Firstly, this is my country & I am a member of the House that impeached you,” she wrote.

Rep. Ilhan Omar was a 12 year old Somalian refugee when she arrived in the U.S.. Raised in poverty, she learned a new language, became educated, and then was elected as one of the first Muslim women to serve in Congress. Trump, who was given a “small loan of a million dollars.” Omar really is an example of that thing they call the “American Dream.”
