Issa Rae will produce HBO’s ‘The Vanishing Half’ based on Brit Bennett’s best-selling novel, according to Deadline.

The story follows two light-skinned women who run away from their small southern black community to live completely different lives filled with secrets.

Aziza Barnes and Jeremy O. Harris are onboard as the series writers. Stephanie Allain also serves as an executive producer.
