ITZY, the sensational K-pop girl group, has set the stage ablaze with their second studio record, ‘Born to Be.’ The much-anticipated album’s lead single, ‘Untouchable,’ comes to life in a visually striking music video that showcases the group’s fierce charisma and explosive performances.
In the ‘Untouchable’ visual spectacle, ITZY boldly takes center stage, surrounded by a wall of soldiers wielding riot shields, creating a dynamic backdrop. As the soldiers close in, the girl group breaks into an unforgettable song, accompanied by a chorus echoing the anthem of empowerment and resilience.
“I’m untouchable, it’s already begun / With this flow, just going on and on / Go on, mess it up now, easily knock out / Whatever it is, I don’t care about / I’m untouchable, everlasting form,” the lyrics resonate, encapsulating the group’s unyielding spirit.
Before the official release of the album, ITZY treated fans to a visual feast with music videos for various tracks, including the empowering ‘Born to Be’ and the captivating ‘Mr. Vampire.’ Adding a personal touch, each member—Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna—shared solo music videos for their respective tracks, building anticipation for the album’s grand reveal.
Notably, the album marks the return of ITZY after a hiatus by vocalist Lia, who courageously addressed extreme anxiety concerns. Despite her break, Lia contributed a pre-recorded solo track, ‘Blossom,’ which she unveiled through a lyrics video. The song has now found its place among the powerful lineup of ‘Born to Be.’
This release follows ITZY’s seventh mini-album, ‘Kill My Doubt,’ which was released five months ago in July, and is their first studio album in over two years since ‘Crazy in Love,’ which was released in September 2021. The resilience and artistry displayed in ‘Born to Be’ demonstrate ITZY’s evolution, solidifying their status as a force to be reckoned with in the K-pop scene.
