Mahomes took to Twitter to apologize to Sean Taylor family and the Washington Football Team fans.
I want to sincerely apologize for accidentally being on the Sean Taylor #21 at FedEx Field. We were directed to stand in that area and I meant absolutely no disrespect to him or his family.

On Thursday, The Washington Football Team confirmed it would retire Taylor’s No. 21 jersey ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The announcement came out of no where and the team fans were quick to shred them over their abrupt announcement. Sean Taylor younger brother, Gabe, claims he found out about the special ceremony a few days ago.
Sean Taylor was the number 5th pick of the 2004 NFL Draft, where he played for four seasons until he was murdered in 2007. Taylor was a two time pro bowler and second team all pro in his career.
