The Black Girl Book Fair will host a free one-day online book fair featuring Black voices in adult fantasy fiction on April 25, 2026.

The free online book fair will promote the work of black writers who have traditionally been excluded from the mainstream publishing world. The online book fair will include an interactive clickable catalog featuring major discounts, live events featuring the authors, and giveaways from black indie writers and book brands.

Each free ticket will automatically qualify the holder to participate in a drawing to win book prizes from the participating brands. Winners will be randomly selected and announced during the live stream, as well as through email messages.

The Black Girl Book Fair was founded by Jacque Aye, who is the author of How to Be a Better Adult and Monster High: New Scaremester. The book fair was inspired by the book fairs of the 1990s and the early 2000s, as well as the need to increase the visibility of black indie writers.

“I was inspired by the nostalgia of ‘90s and early 2000s book fairs,” Aye said. “But more importantly, I hope to help connect readers with their new favorite authors.”

The Black Girl Book Fair is an online book fair that is free to attend, meaning that people can attend the online book fair from anywhere on April 25th. People can get free tickets to the online book fair here.

The one-day online book fair will include live events all day, an interactive shopping experience, and online activities, all of which will be announced on Instagram.
