The Black Girl Book Fair, founded by author Jacque Aye, is pleased to announce that it has added a few more speakers and sponsors to its lineup ahead of its free, virtual, all-ages event on April 25, 2026.

New speakers added to their lineup this year include Chuck Lightning, the creator of The ArchAndroid Graphic Novel and longtime creative collaborator with Janelle Monáe, and Ayana Gray, the New York Times bestselling author of I, Medusa.

New sponsors added to their lineup this year include Saturday AM, a Black-owned manga publisher, IDW Publishing, and Wondaland, Monáe’s creative company.

The Black Girl Book Fair is a free, virtual event that brings together book lovers and highlights Black voices in fantasy fiction. Inspired by the nostalgia and excitement of childhood book fairs, they seek to give readers 24/7 access to an interactive, clickable digital catalog with discounted books and merch from Black indie authors and brands.

Throughout the day, readers can join live panels, Instagram, and chats with their favorite authors. All registered readers will also be automatically entered into a raffle for books and other fun prizes.

Jacque Aye founded the Black Girl Book Fair to bring together a community of readers and to uplift Black indie authors whose work is otherwise overlooked in mainstream publishing.

“Truly excited to be building something that’s accessible and fun for readers, while elevating authors often pushed to the margins of mainstream publishing,” Aye said.

You can register for their event on April 25, 2026, for free here.
