Jamie Foxx has signed on to write and direct When We Pray, a faith-based drama for Fight For Fame Films.
Foxx won the Oscar for portraying Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical movie Ray, for which he also won, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics’ Choice Movie Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor.
When We Pray tells the story of two brothers who become pastors at different churches in the same community. One of them uses high-tech to develop his church, while the other follows a humbler path that soon finds his church in decline and in need of financial assistance.
Production begins at the end of the year. The movie will be streamed at the Garden State Film Festival.
