Illinois State University graduate, Jelani Day has reportedly been missing since last Tuesday (8/24). He was last seen on the security cameras at ISU’s Bone Student. Day Vehicle was found two days later in Peru, Illinois which is 60 miles away from ISU. Authorities have been searching for Day for the past week.
Day is described as a black man, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes, with some facial hair. Day’s vehicle is a white 2010 Chrysler 300 (Illinois registration #CH74067). He was last seen wearing a blue, button-up collared dress shirt, black pants, black belt, black dress shoes, and a blue face covering, authorities said.
Blooming and Peru detectives are asking for the public help to find Day. Bloomington Police Department aren’t expecting any foul play as of yet.
“We have no specific details that would lead us to believe that foul play is suspected at this time,” said Bloomington Police spokesperson Officer John Fermon.
ISU Police Chief Aaron Woodruff also revealed they haven’t obtained any evidence of foul play while Day was on campus.
