Kansas City Chiefs Punter Matt Araiza’s Fiancée Layla Murray Goes Viral Debunking Daejon Love’s NFL Claims: “He Has Never Asked Me For Money”

Layla Murray, fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza, became the topic of discussion on the internet as she responded to Daejon Love’s allegations on behalf of a woman dating a player in the National Football League (NFL).

Murray began her debunking with facts from league documentation, including public rosters, injured reserve lists, and practice squads.

“Let’s debunk some of the things Daejon Love claims to do or be as someone dating an actual NFL player. First off, he claims to be injured. All these years, he would be on the IR for the Forty Niners, and you would see his name online on the IR practice squad and the staff,” Murray pointed out.

She continued with equipment, as players do not usually bring helmets from the field after practice.

“For all public information, my fiancé does not bring his helmet home from practice. The only time I’ve ever seen him with his helmet at home was in the off-season, and he did train with his helmet on, but with other players and just a punt or at a park alone,” Murray explained.

Murray, who stated that Araiza hails from San Diego, also debunked the location of the workouts in question.

“And to add to that, my fiancé’s from San Diego, and he has never practiced on Pacific Beach, where Dejong Love was practicing in the middle of everybody. Um, he practiced with other NFL specialists in a big group on a football field,” she said.

After that, she moved on to money, saying it has never been a subject in their relationship.

“He has never asked me for money. Um, he helps me a lot,” Murray said.

Contracts, she noted, are handled officially, not at home.

“He also has only signed his contract at the facility. There is a way you could sign it at your place, and that’s if you aren’t in the state at the time. But they will fly someone to you and make it like a whole formal thing, not just like a packet on the couch,” she explained.

Murray also described how players dress when going to and leaving the team facility.

“He also just does not wear cheap things out. They wear normal clothes to the facility, wear their chief’s gear to practice, and then they change out of their team clothing to leave,” she said.

One more issue which she discussed was game footage, and she noted that there are videos of every professional athlete.

“My fiancé and everybody else in the NFL has film. He did play in college. There’s college film, and there’s NFL film,” Murray explained.

Another thing, according to her, is that Araiza doesn’t advertise his job and avoids attention.

“And yeah, he also does not tell everybody he’s on the Chiefs, or he’s an NFL player. He actually doesn’t like when people know, cause he just gets, like, shy and doesn’t like that type of attention. He likes to be treated like everybody else because they are just normal people,” she said.

The least believable allegation was that Murray considered filming on the field.

“Oh, and this one’s my favorite. He does not film right before a game on the field. He does not have his phone on when they’re warming up before a game to be filming game day. They don’t have their phones when they’re warming up, and they definitely do not bring it out on the field during a game,” Murray added.

After debunking all those claims, she encouraged anyone approached by someone claiming to be a football player in the league to investigate them.

“Anywho, that is all. I guarantee you, if an NFL player messages you, you can find literally too much information online, and you will know everything about them. So hopefully that helps somebody,” she concluded.
