Kourtney Kardashian has some harsh words for Jennifer Lawrence.
The reality star revealed she would “slap the sh*t” out of the Oscar winner during the eighth season premiere of The Kardashians, which started streaming Thursday on Hulu. The comments come almost a year after Lawrence called the eldest Kardashian sister “more annoying than ever.”
The 47-year-old said her frustration peaked after her mother, Kris Jenner, sent a message praising Lawrence and fellow Oscar winner Emma Stone.
“Well, my mom wrote something like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best,’ and I go, ‘F**k that b***h Jennifer Lawrence.'” Kardashian said.
She continued, “And I said to my mom, ‘Okay, [Lawrence] thinks she’s one of my sisters? I’ll f**king slap the sh*t out of her.’ I was like, ‘Invite her over and we can … I’ll go for it like Kourtney and Kim style.'”
The mention of “Kourtney and Kim style” refers to the Kardashians ‘ own physical fight between Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, which aired in the 18th season premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2020 and has become one of the family’s most notorious reality TV moments.
The conflict dates back to November 2025, when Lawrence, 36, did a lie detector test with Robert Pattinson, her co-star in the psychological thriller Die My Love. When Pattinson asked if she still keeps in touch with the Kardashians, Lawrence admitted she didn’t watch that season and named Khloé Kardashian as her favorite sister.
Her comments about Kourtney, however, were much harsher. Lawrence said the Poosh founder “drives me nuts” and complained that “everything has to be an announcement,” referring to what she saw as Kardashian making all of her personal decisions public. Lawrence ended her rant with a harsh “Just shhh!”
Later, Lawrence seemed to regret her words. In January, while being interviewed on the podcast Good Hang With Amy Poehler, she joked that she should do about half as much press as other celebrities because when she reads her own quotes, “they’re insane.” She mentioned calling Kardashian annoying as an example.
The actress has always been a big fan of the family, saying that she used to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians to feel better while shooting the dark horror movie Mother! in 2017. Even in 2019, she briefly appeared on the show, answering Jenner’s phone call while Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick were trying to reach the family matriarch. Jenner, who was 70 at the time, also showed her appreciation by celebrating her birthday in 2015 with a funny caption calling her a “piece of sh*t.”
This season of The Kardashians will feature more family conflict, especially with Kourtney. The trailer shows Kendall Jenner saying that the family doesn’t meet Kourtney that often, while Kim Kardashian makes a seemingly harsh comment about her sister: “She doesn’t know how to have friends, hang out with sisters; it’s sad.” The season also hints at problems in Kourtney’s relationship with her husband, musician Travis Barker.
Hulu described the season as about love, reinvention, and the family’s next chapter.
As of Friday, Lawrence hasn’t publicly commented on Kardashian’s words.
