Former child star Daveigh Chase, who was best known for voicing Lilo in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” and as Chihiro Ogino in the English-dubbed “Spirited Away,” has passed away at age 35.
Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, confirmed her passing to TMZ and said she died due to meningitis and a blood infection that resulted in septicemia.
TMZ reported that she was admitted to a hospital in LA this month for severe malnourishment.
Chase won an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain for her role as Samara Morgan in “The Ring,” and her other acting credits included “Donnie Darko” and TV work such as “Beethoven’s 5th,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “ER” and “Big Love.”
