Riding high on a wave of success in 2024, Global pop sensation LISA returns with the brand-new single “Moonlit Floor.” This two-and-half-minute track is an ethereal dance-pop reworking that marries her signature sound with a nod to nostalgia interpolation of Sixpence None The Richer’s 1990s staple “Kiss Me.” LISA reimagines the romance in the song’s imagery, trading “milky twilight” for a scene set against the magical Parisian twilight.

On “Moonlit Floor,” LISA talks about her experiences with French men, a theme she playfully weaves into the song’s lyrics. The song is flirtatious and fanciful; LISA sings here about being taken by the green eyes, accents, and charm of those she met in Paris. Her airy, hypnotic vocals float effortlessly over the beat as she sings, “Kiss me, under the Paris twilight. Kiss me, out on the moonlit floor,” inviting listeners along in a dreamlike romantic escapade.

She performed the song live for the first time at the 2024 Global Citizen Festival held in New York City last weekend. This represented one of the major milestones of her solo career. This was even more special because it was the first time she appeared at such an A-list event, with which she also got the chance to introduce her newest work to a global audience.

“Moonlit Floor” sustains the impressive releases of LISA this year alone. Last August, she appeared on Spanish singer Rosalia’s track “New Woman,” an epic anthem that touts feminism. The collaboration came fresh from her stellar night at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, where LISA won Best K-Pop for the hot single “Rockstar.” She also performed the said song live at the event, proving why she is truly a trendsetting solo artist.

At the tender age of 27, LISA was born Lalisa Manobal and has grown her influence way beyond music. Besides what she has been up to musically of late, fashion-wise, she has been running headlines, including being a House Ambassador for the luxury brand Louis Vuitton. Just this week, LISA turned heads in Paris Fashion Week, where she attended Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2025 show further cementing her status as a style icon. They are further excited by her appearance in the third season of The White Lotus.

“Moonlit Floor” is equally intoxicating, with lyrics that might as well transport one on a sensual ride. In the first verse, LISA croons, “I’mma need to hear you say it out loud / ‘Cause I love it when my name slips out your mouth,” setting the playful, seductive tone for the song. The chorus, “Kiss me under the Paris twilight / Kiss me out on the moonlit floor,” echoes a dreamy romance of the City of Lights, while the pre-chorus highlights intoxicating sensuality from her green-eyed French muse.

It perfectly married pop and nostalgia, showing how LISA could take a classic and make it new while adding a fresh modern sound to it. Already, “Moonlit Floor” has been praised by fans as catchy, dreamy, and full of the alluring vocals of LISA.

And she isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Whether topping the charts, slaying the stages, or raising bars in fashion, LISA has continued to do it all. In “Moonlit Floor,” she once more managed her growth as an artist while maintaining her bond with her international fandom intact.
