This week, Brooklyn’s best Lola Brooke keeps on making central progress for 2023 as her single “Don’t Play With It,” including Billy B, gathers the spotlight as the #1 record on metropolitan radio through MediaBase.
The feat comes after the track debuted at #69 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the week of April 8 for both the original, which is approaching its second anniversary, and the official remix, which got released with Latto and Yung Miami.
As she prepares for an even greater second quarter filled with new music and additional surprises that have the masses in lockstep, Lola Brooke has been on a hot streak doing what she enjoys doing best and remaining consistent.
Lola got recently announced as one of the official performers at Hot 97’s Summer Jam this year, which got scheduled to take place on June 4 and at UBS Arena for the first time since its return to New York, in addition to her victory and the fact that she has one of the most significant Hip Hip records in the country.
Lola’s next set of festival performances in the United States and Europe will begin with this performance.
These performances include the Broccoli Festival in Washington, DC, and WOO HAH! X ROLLING LOUD Festival in Rotterdam, Rolling Loud Festival in Germany, Rolling Loud Festival in Portugal, Splash Festival in Germany, Wireless Festival in London’s Finsbury Park, Openair Festival in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and many more that will soon be announced.
Brooke plans to release a few more songs that demonstrate all of the aspects that the powerful artist has in her as she prepares for the release of her highly anticipated debut album. Lola released her highly acclaimed song “So Disrespectful” this year. Numerous prestigious publications praised the song, including Billboard, XXL, Complex Rolling Stone, Vibe Magazine, Hypebeast, and others.
Following the release of “So Disrespectful,” her official remix to “Don’t Play With It” with Latto and Yung Miami received tremendous press and streaming playlist support from Apple Music’s “Rap Life,” “It’s Lit!,” and ” Hip-Hop Workout’s “#OnRepeat” and other tracks.
The song is currently playing frequently on the Spotify playlists “Feelin’ Myself,” “Most Necessary,” and “Get Turnt.”
Two days after its release, the official music video received more than one million views on Vevo and YouTube, and it currently has more than 3.5 million views.
