Today, beauty magnate Lori Harvey commemorates the first anniversary of SKN By LH, by announcing a 50% off sale until Nov 1st, available at sknbylh.com.
Throughout the last year, the brand has elevated skincare for consumers worldwide by providing a quality, safe, and effective regimen unlike anything else in the marketplace. Along the way, the company earned significant praise from top media. Cosmopolitan applauded SKN By LH as one of “37 Black-Owned Skincare Brands That Should Be on Your Radar.” The outlet went on to rave, “I’m personally a fan of the Niacinamide Cream. It’s fantastic at hydrating and brightening skin.”
Lori also spoke to Vogue about the role SKN By LH plays in her ability to train like a pro while maintaining balance in her daily life. “Every day, I do my five-step system from my line,” said Lori. “It all helps me with how I feel about myself, regardless of how anybody else feels about how I look.”
The initial drop sold out immediately last year, and SKN By LH has quietly emerged as a pioneer in the skincare category with countless units sold and unanimous tastemaker applause.
SKN By LH democratizes skincare for consumers with luxury products priced affordably. It comprises a daily step-by-step routine meant to nourish and energize skin. Its five steps rely on official proprietary products, including cleansers, toners, serums, eye creams, and moisturizers consisting of primary active ingredients Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide. These offset hyperpigmentation and dark spots, brighten, and firm.
Harvey started to develop this idea in 2018. She recruited a team of renowned chemists, dermatologists, and estheticians to assist her in researching the best ingredients for skin health and beauty. She even personally tested the samples on herself to ensure the formula’s perfection. Remaining close to her heart and journey, this regime also applies to sensitive skin.
Regarding SKN By LH, she commented, “Skincare is something I’ve been obsessed with since I was a little girl. I have extremely sensitive skin and wanted to create an easy skincare routine for all skin types, but especially catering to people that have sensitive skin like me.”
At the same time, she’s also pushing the envelope when it comes to representation in the beauty industry by empowering the voices of black women.
“There’s such a lack of representation in the beauty industry for black women in general and I hope that SKN by LH can be an example for the next generation of young black girls that have aspirations to get into this field,” she added. “I hope they can see themselves in me and know they can do it too.”
