The scandal surrounding influencer Jack Doherty and his former girlfriend, McKinley Richardson, has just reached a truly dramatic new height. In an open and heart-rending discussion with Camilla Araujo, McKinley admitted that she had a secret pregnancy and abortion during her tumultuous relationship with Doherty, and the news is as shocking as it is sad.

A Terrifying Discovery in the Middle of Chaos

McKinley documented the day she realized something was wrong: days of feeling sick before ordering a pregnancy test, the night they returned home. When the positive result was returned, she was overcome with fear rather than exhilaration.

My first thought was, my life is over,” she admitted. “I wasn’t excited. I was terrified.”

She then tested again, this time with a second test. However, rather than preparing for motherhood, McKinley was suddenly thrust into the harsh realities of her toxic and dominating relationship with Doherty.

From McKinley: as McKinley broke the news to Doherty, he had no response—no support or love.

“He wasn’t excited to be a dad,” she explained. “He was excited about the money. He said a family YouTube channel would blow up.”.

She alleged that Doherty had advertised the pregnancy as content, talking about how they were going to “get rich” rather than the emotional and physical impact that the pregnancy had had on her.

McKinley refused, saying to him that she desired stability and privacy, not cameras and financial gain off her body. But she asserted that Doherty waved her off, saying, “People have babies when they’re broke. We’re fine.”

Pregnancy as Leverage, Not Love

While McKinley remembered that Doherty had been taunting her during the weeks, teasing her that she was cheating and even having children with other ladies.

“He told me I was trapped,” she reported. “He said no one would want me if I was pregnant with his kid.”

Abuse escalated on a night out, when she claims Doherty inhaled marijuana smoke into her face while she was carrying his child. “He thought it was funny. I left the club in tears,” she recalls.

It was her epiphany when she understood, in her words, “It wasn’t about family. It was about control.”

The Devastating Choice

Having her mental health unravel with no feeling of security, McKinley reports that she had to make the heart-wrenching choice to end the pregnancy. She said this was the time that she faced the reality of her relationship.

“He didn’t care about me,” she said. “He cared about how I could benefit him.”
