Megan Thee Stallion is currently embroiled in a legal battle following allegations of sexual harassment by her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia. According to a report by NBC, Garcia claims he was forced to witness Megan engaging in sexual activity with another woman while trapped inside a vehicle.
The incident allegedly took place during a trip to Spain in 2022. Garcia recounted feeling shocked and uncomfortable as Megan and one of the women began their intimate encounter in the moving car. “I felt uncomfortable. I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked at the overall audacity to do this right beside me,” Garcia told NBC.
Following the incident, Garcia claims Megan warned him, saying, “Don’t ever discuss what you saw,” and began treating him differently, even resorting to fat-shaming him. Garcia detailed instances where Megan allegedly made derogatory comments like “fat *****,” and told him to “spit your food out” and “you don’t need to be eating.”
Garcia described the work environment following the incident as hostile and said the harassment he faced was severe and pervasive. He began working as Megan’s cameraman in 2018 and parted ways with her in 2023.
Post the Spain trip, Garcia noticed a decline in bookings from Megan and changes in his pay structure. He also pointed out that Megan had misclassified him as an independent contractor rather than an employee, depriving him of healthcare benefits.
In response to these allegations, Garcia has filed a lawsuit seeking unpaid wages, interest on the unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages, and other employee benefits at the legal rate. With no HR department in the entertainment industry, Garcia is advocating for himself in this legal battle.
Megan Thee Stallion has not yet publicly responded to these allegations.
