Houston native and Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion is proving once again that her influence extends far beyond music. On Monday (Dec. 30), the “Mamushi” artist announced that her Pete & Thomas Foundation had directly impacted 8,674 individuals in 2024, including students, parents, and senior citizens.
“Thank you to our 102 community partners for their collaboration and continued work to support underserved communities,” Megan shared in a heartfelt Instagram post. She added, “Shoutout to the Hotties, volunteers, donors, and corporate partners. Your support helped make 2024 a year of growth and greater impact in the community!”
A highlight reel accompanied her post, showcasing the foundation’s extensive efforts throughout the year. Notable initiatives included awarding $550 microgrants to 100 young women as part of the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge and hosting the third annual Megan Thee Stallion Day in her hometown.
One of the foundation’s standout projects was a partnership with Bread of Life Inc. to provide electrical generators for Houston seniors affected by Hurricane Beryl. “We need to do our part to provide our elders with the best resources possible to withstand future emergencies,” Megan emphasized.
Megan’s generosity extended to other events as well. Proceeds from her annual Hottieween party were donated to the foundation, and during the holidays, she teamed up with True Religion for their Where Wishes Come True event, delivering much-needed cheer and support to families in need.
While Megan’s philanthropic efforts shone brightly, her music career also reached new heights in 2024. In June, she released her self-titled album, MEGAN, an 18-track project praised by critics and fans alike. The album featured hits like “Otaku Hot Girl,” “B.A.S.” with Kyle Richh, and “Where Them Girls At,” which creatively sampled Kstylis’ “Booty Me Down.” Collaborations with artists like Victoria Monét, GloRilla, and UGK further elevated the project.
In October, Megan unveiled her documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, alongside a surprise album, MEGAN: ACT II. The latter featured tracks like “Bigger In Texas” and “Roc Steady,” a fiery collaboration with Flo Milli. Fans can now look forward to MEGAN: ACT III, slated for release in 2025.
