Michael Abram currently works at both Oxnard College which is part of the Ventura County Community College District. He teaches anatomy and physiology.
Abram is facing backlash after a clip of him interacting with a student during the online session exploded on Tik Tok. In the video, Abram is berating the student and is caught calling out his hard of hearing student for “not paying attention” when in fact they are simply waiting for their translator to get the information to them.
This prompted district officials to call a news briefing Friday morning. Abram has been on administrative leave and the investigation could take up to three months, according to the statement release by Ventura County Community College District.
