‘CREED III’ opens at #1 at the domestic box office with $58.6 million, including a $41 million debut overseas, the biggest 3-day opening ever for the ‘CREED’ and ‘ROCKY’ franchise.

Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut becomes the first sports film in history to surpass $100 million in its opening weekend globally.

The film follows Adonis Creed’s (Michael B. Jordan) life after dominating boxing. Creed has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter, who has nothing to lose.

Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Mila Davis-Kent, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad join Michael B. Jordan in the film. Check out our interview with the cast here.
