I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Michael Joseph Jackson is not done with y’all. Not now, not ever.
The man has officially become the first artist in history to score Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in six different decades, spanning from the 1970s to the 2020s. And let’s be so serious… he’s been gone for 16 years.
Yet here he is, still collecting history-making titles like infinity stones.
His eternal Halloween anthem “Thriller” just jumped 22 spots to hit No. 10 on the November 15, 2025, chart, powered by streams, radio play, and over 100,000 units sold. A 43-year-old song. Doing that. In 2025.
Tell me that’s not witchcraft.
Six. Whole. Decades.
Let’s break this down like a drumline:
- 1970s Baby MJ and Jackson 5 takeover
- 1980s Thriller, Bad, MJ world domination
- 1990s HIStory supremacy
- 2000s “You Rock My World” still on replay
- 2010s Posthumous remixes sneaking into charts
- 2020s “Thriller” refuses to die
And honestly
Some fans say this is actually seven decades, because “I Want You Back” hit Top 10 in December 1969. So we’re basically looking at a man who’s been slaying charts since before color TV was standard.
No one is seeing him.
A Flex From the Beyond
Most artists can’t get a Top 10 while alive with a full marketing campaign and multiple TikTok dances.
Michael said,
“I’ll do it from the grave.”
One fan basically channeled all of us:
“Imagine going Top 10 almost 2 decades after your death? Yeah nobody will ever be more famous than him.”
Another said:
“Deceased for 16 years and still getting ‘first artist in history’ records. insane. greatest of all time.”
Say it louder, babes.
Twitter (X) Is Losing Its Mind
The reactions have been hilarious, emotional, dramatic, everything Black Twitter was born to be.
One person said:
“I’ve never seen a spirit so determined to live forever, it’s truly beautiful.”
Another said:
“He will be relevant until the end of time. Do not ever EVER dare to compare him to other artists.”
Someone else added:
“Michael knew no one could match his longevity. Kiss the glove.”
I don’t know why “kiss the glove” made me scream, but it did.
My personal favorite:
“THE FIRST AND ONLY ACT IN HISTORY. Let it sink in. You will NEVER take away what he achieved. A working class Black man from one of the poorest parts of the US, whose father toiled in a steel mill. The power of vision, hard work and a dream. Adored all OVER the world.”
Talk about a sermon.
Tried to Cancel Him? He Just Charted.
Another user wanted y’all to remember how folks tried to erase him:
“They tried to cancel him in 2019, they bullied him, trashed him, made fun of his looks, how he dressed, the media killed him and now in almost 2026 Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop makes HIStory!!!”
One thing about MJ
“He ALWAYS gets the last laugh.”
The glove stays undefeated.
