The official trailer for “MICHAEL,” an epic biographical drama about the life and legacy of the late King of Pop, has arrived just in time for the film’s theatrical and IMAX release on April 24, 2026.

The film, written by John Logan and directed by Antoine Fuqua, chronicles the life and legacy of the late King of Pop from the time he was discovered as a prodigy as the lead singer of the Jackson Five to his rise as a visionary solo performer driven by an unyielding passion and commitment to becoming the greatest entertainer in the world.

As the film’s synopsis suggests, “MICHAEL” takes viewers on a journey into the life of the late King of Pop beyond his music, recreating some of his most spectacular early solo performances. The film promises to give audiences a front-row seat into the life and legacy of the late King of Pop as never before.

Graham King produces the film in association with John Branca and John McClain. “MICHAEL” stars Jaafar Jackson as the titular character in a significant film role as the nephew of the late King of Pop. The film also stars Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.

“MICHAEL” opens in theaters and IMAX on April 24, 2026.
