Momoko Nojo’s #DontBeSilent online campaign has definitely sparked conversation and change after addressing the former Tokyo Olympics chief Yoshiro Mori disparaging remarks toward women. That’s the power of speaking up about important issues.

In less than two weeks, Momoko Nojo’s #DontBeSilent campaign organized with other activists gathered more than 150,000 signatures, galvanizing global outrage against Yoshiro Mori.

Mori has since been replaced by Seiko Hashimoto, a woman who has competed in seven Olympic Games.
