Nancy Mace Refuses War Funding If Boots Hit the Ground

Representative Nancy Mace stated that she would not vote for any congressional funding for the U.S. military intervention in Iran if it meant deploying U.S. troops on the ground.

In an interview with Pablo Reports, Representative Nancy Mace emphasized this point by saying:

“Troops on the ground. So I’ll be voting against the funding if we’re putting troops on the ground. I’m not going to fund that. Okay. Yeah, no U.S. troops.”

This comes at a time when the U.S. involvement in the war between the U.S. and Iran is escalating under the administration of President Donald Trump, after the failure of the House and Senate to pass a War Powers Resolution to limit the administration’s war powers. Representative Nancy Mace voted against the resolution.

During the interview, Representative Nancy Mace also expressed additional security concerns about the war between the U.S. and Iran.

“I’m just concerned about a lot of things. I mean, Hezbollah is here. The enemy isn’t flying in on planes from Tehran. They’re already here,” she said when asked whether the war between the U.S. and Iran heightens the security threat to infrastructure.

What do you think the U.S. gains from this war with Iran?
