Naomi Osaka, the reigning queen of the tennis court, has weighed in on the ongoing feud between hip-hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Drake, showcasing her passion for music alongside her dominance on the court.
In a recent visit to the Tennis Channel Live Desk at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, Osaka, often seen with her iconic Beats headphones, didn’t hold back when discussing the lyrical showdown between the two rap titans.
“Music-wise, I’ve been really fed well with this Kendrick and Drake beef,” Osaka expressed to Prakash Amritraj, diverting attention from her recent victory over Clara Burel to delve into the intricacies of the feud.
Despite her self-proclaimed status as a pacifist and neutral party, Osaka couldn’t resist diving into the fray, offering her insights into the latest salvos fired by both artists.
“However, Kendrick dropped some heat with that last song. That last song is amazing, and I played it walking onto the court. Currently, I think Kendrick’s doing a good job,” she remarked, tipping her hat to the Compton lyricist.
As the feud escalates with dueling diss tracks, Osaka, an avid Kendrick Lamar fan, seemed to revel in the flurry of new music.
“Technically, Kendrick dropped that song, then Drake dropped ‘The Heart Part 6’, so technically Kendrick could drop another two if he wanted to,” Osaka said, eagerly anticipating further releases from Lamar.
“Me being a Kendrick fan, I haven’t gotten this many Kendrick songs in a very long time! If he wants to keep dropping…”

While Osaka’s commentary on the rap feud delighted fans, her performance on the tennis court continues to captivate audiences.
