Naomi Osaka Will Skip Wimbledon and Play at the Tokyo Olympics

Naomi Osaka withdrew from the Wimbledon Championships on Thursday, according to a statement by her team, to take “some personal time with friends and family.” Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, is confirmed to represent Japan in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. The tennis star withdrew from the French Open in May, citing her mental health.
