Netflix and Javier Castillo join to adapt ‘El juego del alma’ and ‘El cuco de cristal’ to screen

Following the success of The Snow Girl, Netflix bets on Javier Castillo’s thrillers and has announced today the screen adaptations of his bestsellers El juego del alma y El cuco de cristal.

El juego del alma is the sequel to The Snow Girl, where we follow the steps of Miren during the investigation of a new case. The series is in pre-production.

The screen adaptation of El cuco de cristal, published by Penguin Random House this past February, will start development soon. In just two months in the market, the novel, a new original and independent story by Javier Castillo, continues at the #1 of the best-selling books in Spain and has sold almost 100.000 copies.

The Snow Girl phenomenon on Netflix reached the global top 1 in the TV Non-English list during its release week. It was Top 10 in 77 countries for several weeks, including #1 in countries like Spain, France, Sweden, and Belgium, among many others.
