Netflix has released the trailer for Rich in Love 2, the sequel to the romantic comedy film starring Giovanna Lancellotti and Danilo Mesquita, which will be available on the platform on June 2nd.

The first feature film won the hearts of millions of people, rising to the top of the list of most-watched productions on Netflix in Brazil when it debuted in 2020.

The couple Paula (Giovanna Lancellotti) and Teto (Danilo Mesquita) will face difficulties in the new production and will have to learn to deal with turbulence along the way. Paula pursues her dreams and returns to her volunteer work as a doctor, embarking on a new mission with an indigenous community in the Amazon. Teto, on the other hand, tries to persuade his partners to establish his tomato cooperative in a nearby village, but in order to save the company from bankruptcy and reclaim Paula’s heart, he must overcome his spoiled habits and deal with the interests of a powerful farmer.

Rich in Love 2 features Alok on the soundtrack once more, with new songs written in collaboration with indigenous artists, as well as Jo’s participation in the film’s theme song.

The film also stars Fernanda Paes Leme, Jaffar Bambirra, Lellê, Adanilo, Kay Sara, Aline Dias, Roney Villela, and Ernani Moraes, among others, and is directed by Bruno Garotti, who also co-wrote the script with Sylvio Gonçalves.

Production is handled by Anan Filmes, with executive producers Julio Uchôa and Irina Neves, photography by Dante Belluti, and art direction by Claudia Andrade.
