Netflix has confirmed the release date for The Boyfriend Season 2, along with a first-look photo. The much-awaited return of Japan’s first-ever dating reality show for men launches on Netflix beginning on January 13, 2026, and comprises 15 episodes for the first four weeks.

This new season sees the Green Room shift to winter, located in Hokkaido. Ten new boys will live together in the same house for the duration of the winter, as snowscapes stretch out as far as the eye can see. They’ll be running their peppermint-flavored Coffee Truck, but the tales that unravel in the winter are sure to differ, and the characters are as yet unrevealed. They are, though, shown as ten boys lined up, holding each other, as indicated by the new first look.

The Boyfriend Season 2 continues to emphasize the series’ essence, centered on honest conversations, affectionate bonds, and the times when love and friendship often overlap. An unforgettable winter is about to begin, and fans are invited to join in the warm experience.

Since the series’ launch in 2024, The Boyfriend has been lauded for the romances, bonds, and discoveries the characters forge as the nine young men live together in the Green Room, manage the coffee truck on the coast, and share their feelings. The popularity of The Boyfriend Season 1 opened the door for the arrival of Season 2, which was hosted by the same lineup of MEGUMI, Horan, Thelma, Lollobrigida, and Tokui.

Ten boys, coming from various backgrounds, will come to Hokkaido to learn who they are and what kind of boyfriend they would like to become. The Boyfriend Season 2 will be available starting January 13, exclusively on Netflix.
